The Hotel Anker (the same year of construction as the Titanic) was on the verge of ruin, but should once again be resurrected into something great. The Titanic was the most revolutionary hotel at sea in its time, not only in terms of technical details, but also in terms of the comfort it offered travellers. The amazing thing about the class division in the Titanic was that not only the 1st or 2nd class offered a good standard, also the 3rd class could convince with simple but nevertheless good rooms. Whereas in 1st class there was space to waste, in 3rd class attention had to be paid to any extra space that could be gained and it had to be utilized. Thus, 1st class offered a lot of space and comfort, 2nd class offered almost the same comfort, but on fewer square meters and the 3rd class surprised with ingenious and space-saving systems. The new Hotel Anker takes the special attributes of the Titanic that made it so avant-garde and transfers them to the present day. The floor plan structure is generated from the analysis of the floor plans from the Titanic. It becomes apparent that the higher classes are placed towards the middle of the ship and the lower classes towards the outside of the ship. In the hotel, too, the middle zone is designed as a 4-star room and occupies the most extravagant space due to the round shape of the building.

The rooms always grant the guest a direct view from the bed into the distance, so that the wanderlust is triggered. The sleeping area, however, forms such a protected place that a homely feeling is not missing and guests feel comfortable in their rooms. The 2-star room convinces with its compact floor plan. Space is optimally utilized, for example, the wardrobe is anything but just a place to store clothes. It serves as a coat rack for jackets and shoes, suitcases can be stored directly in the wardrobe and there is space for clothes and a safe. In addition, the wardrobe functions as a stairway to the upper bunk with three simple steps and a handle. The guest is thus offered a lot of comfort in the smallest space.
