Schemmel
The lounge chair was designed for a Swiss slow-food bistro. The main form is based on the traditional Swiss milking stool. Due to the beveled seat surfaces, the redistributed forces have to be absorbed by a steel substructure. The seats are made of wooden panels and covered with black fur. The skins are demountable and can be replaced by linen covers in summer. The seat slope and the size of the panels were determined on the basis of various models and then the entire chair was handcrafted.
